The agri­cul­tu­ral edu­ca­ti­on and ad­vi­so­ry cent­re LBBZ in Cham is re­spon­si­ble for the basic and ad­van­ced trai­ning of far­mers and for ad­vice on agri­cul­tu­ral to­pics.

Basic agri­cul­tu­ral trai­ning

Basic agri­cul­tu­ral trai­ning com­pri­ses a three-​year ap­p­ren­ticeship lea­ding to the fe­deral­ly cer­ti­fied di­plo­ma ‘Land­wirt mit eid­ge­nös­si­schem Fä­hig­keits­zeug­nis, EFZ‘. The di­plo­ma gives the hol­der ac­cess to the pro­fes­sio­nal edu­ca­ti­on and trai­ning col­lege for agri­cul­tu­re (Hö­he­re Fach­schu­le Land­wirt­schaft) or to the school of farm ma­nage­ment (Be­triebs­lei­ter­schu­le).

School of farm ma­nage­ment (Be­triebs­lei­ter­schu­le)

The cour­se pre­pa­res stu­dents, in one to two se­mes­ters, for the Fe­de­ral pro­fes­sio­nal edu­ca­ti­on and trai­ning di­plo­ma in agri­cul­tu­re (Be­rufs­prü­fung Land­wirt). After a fur­ther se­mes­ter, stu­dents can take the exam for the Ad­van­ced di­plo­ma (Meis­ter­prü­fung).

Pro­fes­sio­nal edu­ca­ti­on and trai­ning col­lege for agri­cul­tu­re (Hö­he­re Fach­schu­le Land­wirt­schaft)

Studies take place at the agri­cul­tu­ral edu­ca­ti­on and ad­vi­so­ry cent­re LBBZ Schlu­echt­hof. The cour­se lasts two years if taken full-​time, or three years if taken part-​time in com­bi­na­ti­on with pro­fes­sio­nal work.
