The professional education and training college for  naturopathy (Höhere Fachschule für Naturheilverfahren) comprises two schools: the SHI Homöopathieschule in Zug with its graduate programme in homeopathy (qualification: dipl. Homöopath/-in hfnh), and Paramed in Baar with various graduate programmes in naturopathy (qualifications: dipl. Naturheilpraktiker/-in Traditionelle Europäische Medizin (TEN) hfnh; dipl. Naturheilpraktiker/-in Manulle Verfahren (MV) hfnh; dipl. Akupunkteur/-in Traditionelle Chinesische Medizin (TCM) hfnh). This is the only school in Switzerland offering programmes in natural healing methods at professional education and training college level. The courses and certificates are federally recognised.

Both professional colleges offer the preparatory course for the Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education in «Naturheilpraktiker/in mit eidgenössischem Diplom» .
