The Centre for Oral Communication (ZM) is an active participant in national and international networks. It co-organises conferences and contributes regularly to events within the scientific community.

The ZM currently collaborates with the following institutions:

• AG Mündlichkeit (Working Group «Oral Communication»)
• fdd - Forum Deutschdidaktik (Forum for subject didactics «German»)
• SDD - Symposion Deutschdidaktik (Symposium for German didactics)
• sims - Sprachförderung in mehrsprachigen Schulen (Promoting Language Teaching and Learning in multilingual schools)
• Forschungsnetzwerk Schulsprachdidaktik | nets21 (Research Network «School language didactics»)

In addition, from 2016 – 2020 the ZM co-organised the annual Drama in Education Days (Eva Göksel @ZM & Stefanie Giebert @HTWG Konstanz). The 2019 conference was hosted at the University of Teacher Education (PH Zug).
